Determining Your Version

Try the Universal method first. If it doesn't work, use the platform-specific method for your OS. If none of those work, you're not running a version we currently support.

Universal

The version can be checked within the app by:

1. right-clicking on empty space to open the browser context menu
2. selecting the About option

This will open a floating overlay which will show the app version.

Linux

Run jellyfin-desktop --version in a terminal. For Flatpak installs, run flatpak info org.jellyfin.JellyfinDesktop instead.

Native	Flatpak

macOS

Open Finder and right-click the Jellyfin Desktop.app application. Select Get Info and you will see the Version info.

Windows

Right-click on the jellyfin-desktop.exe and select Properties. Navigate to the Details tab and you'll find the version under the Product version field.
